WWENews.eu brings you the latest on the Latin American tournament
Yesterday WWENEWS.eu reported some breaking news about the new WWE tournament planned to be taped in Chile by the end of summer and now we bring you some more information about the actual status of the deal.
Last October 22nd William Regal visited Chile for a try-out with different south american amateur wrestlers. The organzation was set up by Legión Nueva Era, Chile Lucha Libre (CLL) and Xplosión Nacional de Lucha (XNL) performing 7 matches and some phisical tests with William Regal and Canyon Ceman as special guests. WWE ended very surprised by the talented and young wrestlers and promised to come back with a special production. That production is the brand new tournament in the making and the search of their brand new “latino superstar”.
Recently in Chile was born a new alliance of independent promotions called Alianza Latinoamericana de Lucha Libre integrated by CATCH Pro Wrestling, Cinco Luchas Clandestino and LEGIÓN. Hand in hand they decided to rebuilt the future of the wrestling in Chile coming along with the idea of a new tournament called Torneo Latinoamericano de Lucha Libre and THAT will be the core of the WWE tournament this summer. As we write, the group is still in the making, seeking talents and offering contracts, medical test… WWE is not bringing the talents to the States as they are flying off to Chile once the deal is closed to tape the tournament.
If the rumors are true Alianza Latinoamericana de Lucha Libre will show the world that they know how to do business and how to deal with the biggest wrestling Company in the world.
