Charlotte Flair on missing the Royal Rumble

We, WWE News .eu, had the chance to chat a little bit with “The Queen” herself, Charlotte Flair, during a conference call with WWE to promote the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match.

Here are the audio and the highlights:

On missing the Royal Rumble match been the Smackdown women’s Champion:

“I’m very torn,” Charlotte said. “My competitive nature wants to be a part of this first-ever Royal Rumble match, this historic moment. But I do know that I am a part of the evolution that got us to where we are today in making the first ever Royal Rumble match possible. But secondly, I am honored knowing that I’m still a part of this excitement in the field of the rumble match, knowing that who wins the Royal Rumble match will be facing me and going head to head at WrestleMania 34.

On the NXT superstars entering in the Royal Rumble match:

I definitely am a huge fan of the Australians Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, I think they would be a great edition to the Royal Rumble match,” Charlotte admitted. “I think Bianca Belair is an amazing, incredible athlete. I think her presence alone, when shed enter the royal rumble, would be amazing. Kairi Sane is another. And I know everyone’s rumors saying Shayna Baszler is a possibility. I know she’s one. I think all of those women would be great contestants. But again, anyone in NXT would do an incredible job and id like to see anyone step up and be part of the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match.”

On her chemestry with Natalya:

I think we have such a good chemestry because we have very similar styles. Natty is probably the most technical woman in both divisions and I think there is an element of trust with Natalya and it goes all the way back to NXT, because she put me on the map and gave me the confidence and the platform to be where I am today when I won the NXT women’s championship. But I do hink is because we have very similar styles. What we do best is wrestle and it shows when we go together.
